1. Who we are
Glint is operated by Orri Data Consultancy, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands. Contact us any time at orri@orripals.is.
2. What we collect
Account information. Your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us in plain text.
Recordings. When you record a tab with the Glint extension, we store the resulting video (and audio, if tab audio is available) so it can be edited and delivered back to you.
On-screen interaction data. While recording, the extension logs cursor position, scroll position, and — for clicks — the clicked element's tag name, CSS classes, up to 100 characters of its visible text, and its position on screen. This is what drives the automatic zoom-on-click editing. For text fields, we only record that a field was focused or blurred — we never capture what you type.
Payment information. Payments are processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and export-credit balance.
We don't currently run any analytics or advertising trackers on Glint.
3. How we use it
To generate and deliver your demo videos, operate your account and billing, and provide support when you ask for it. We don't use your recordings to train any AI or machine-learning model — video editing is done with deterministic rendering software (Remotion), not a third-party AI service.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Glint. None of them can use your data for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (EU region)
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run) — video rendering
- Vercel — application hosting
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for advertising. Some of these providers operate globally and may process data outside the EU/EEA as part of their infrastructure (for example, Stripe and Google); where that happens, they provide appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Where your data lives
Our database and file storage run in the EU (Ireland). Video rendering runs on Google Cloud Run in the EU (europe-west1).
6. How long we keep it
We keep your recordings and account data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we'll delete it, other than what we're required to retain for accounting or legal reasons (such as payment records).
7. Your rights
If you're in the EU/EEA (or anywhere with similar protections), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to how we process it. Email orri@orripals.is and we'll handle it. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Chrome extension permissions
The extension requests broad host permissions because it can be used to record any tab you choose — which one isn't known ahead of time. It stays idle on every page until you explicitly click "Start recording" for that specific tab.
9. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children
Glint isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
